The Blue Velvet Saddle Pad trades tweed for a deep jewel-toned velvet, giving it a richer, more formal character than the rest of the Chatsworth Collection, a colourway that reads as a statement rather than a staple. It pairs particularly well against black or dark bay coats, and suits riders who want one standout piece for competition days or special occasions rather than everyday schooling.
Velvet asks a little more care than tweed, but the construction underneath is the same: quilted panels cushion and evenly distribute pressure across the horse’s back, with a breathable, moisture-wicking lining to help keep them comfortable through longer sessions.
Available in Cob and Pony sizes, the Blue Velvet Saddle Pad is machine washable at 30 degrees. Lay flat to dry rather than tumble drying — velvet in particular can flatten or lose its texture under high heat, so gentle drying matters more here than with the tweed pads.
